• Directed by Cast Member: Harry Morgan's second episode as director in the series. Interestingly, Colonel Potter only ever appears when Tyler is admitted for surgery and at the end in The Tag.
• Reality Subtext: The animosity between Klinger and Zale may not have been all acting. By all accounts, Jamie Farr and Johnny Haymer really did not get along.
