• Fake Nationality: The animated movie is a quite bizarre case: Despite being set on technically in Chile, through the movie in set in the Easter Island in the Pacific Islands, and having Chilean characters, all the entire voice acting was done in Mexico. According with Word of God, this was intentional, since the Chilean producers had a preference on Mexican voice acting over the one of their own country. On the other hand, this was averted in the TV series, which now features Chilean voice actors.
• Real-Life Relative: Marina Huerta, who voiced Mampato and his mom, was the wife of Adrian Fogarty, who voiced Peretei, through they are now divorced nowadays.
• What Could Have Been: At first, when the characters were being designed, there was the option for Mampato to have blonde hair, or to be brunette, or to have red hair, finally the idea of him being redhead was chosen.
