- Dawson Casting: Malhação in general is infamous for this, specially in the seasons in which the Múltipla Escolha high school is the main setting, since the students of ages around 15 to 17 years old are almost always played by actors in their early-to-mid 20s.
- Missing Episode: Some episodes of the fifth season were lost by the network, and because of that, the TV channel Viva, which was reprising the series from the beginning, decided not to reprise this season.
