- California Doubling: Several scenes that are supposed to take place inside the Louvre in Paris were filmed at the château of Chambord, the most famous of the Loire Valley Châteaux. Chambord itself was the property of Louis XIII's brother (and Louis XIV's uncle) Gaston d'Orléans at the time.
