• No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: Pepsi used "Like a Prayer" for a commercial, but after protests from religious groups they cancelled the campaign. The song still reached number one on the Billboard charts and won the Viewer's Choice award at the VMAs. In her acceptance speech, Madonna thanked Pepsi "for causing so much controversy".
• Recycled Set: In the same video, the church interior used in "Like A Prayer" later becomes the inside of a police station with some redressing. The whole thing is revealed to be a stage production, as at the end of the video, Madonna comes out with all the actors and actresses from the video and takes a bow.
