- Playing Against Type: One of the few films Kristina Söderbaum made where her character doesn't die or get raped.
- Star-Derailing Role: All of the cast suffered from this after World War II ended since they were all accused of being Nazi sympathizers.
- Heinrich George was arrested by the Soviets and send to the Gulag where he died in 1946. Ironically, Heinrich was once a Communist but his career was ruined once the Nazis took power and starred in this movie to revive his faltering acting career.
- Kristina Söderbaum’s acting career suffered after this movie, along with her views supporting the Nazi eugenics policies, which made her unpopular with the public. She attempted to make a comeback by acting in theatre productions, but ended up getting pelted with rotten vegetables for her troubles.
