• Colbert Bump: The comic got a lot of online attention thanks to webmaster Sardius, and again when Linkara did a review of the comic.
• The Danza: Johnatan Brandsetter himself voices Johnny Turbo in Crystal Crisis.
• Uncredited Role:
  • None of the comics make any effort to explain who the writer(s) were. All things considered, it's likely that it was a group effort from TTI's marketing team.
  • All that's known about the artist is that they credit themselves as "Neil" in the third issue. There's some unverified evidence that suggests that it was legendary comic artist Neil Adams.
• Write Who You Know: Johnny Turbo and his sidekick Tony are based of the real life Jonathan Brandstetter, a marketing manager at TTI, and his then roommate Tony Ancona, one of TTI's English translators.
