• Screwed by the Lawyers: "who wrote Caramelldansen" was briefly unavailable on Misali's YouTube channel for a time, due to a (possibly spurious) copyright takedown claim, though it was also reuploaded on the Internet Archive and Niconico. After a convoluted copyright battle, the dispute was finally resolved and the video was restored in early 2022.
• Streisand Effect: In response to the takedown of "who wrote Caramelldansen", fans reuploaded it to other platforms, and the conflict gained coverage on news outlets such as Kotaku, leading to even more widespread interest in the video. In turn, the Caramella Girls making their own response to the video made people even more suspicious of their claims, which contradict the research shown in Misali's video.
