- Creator Backlash: The band has publically distanced themselves from 2020's Ultra Mono, saying that they "lost the essence of our intentions as a band" in regards to its aggressive sound and quite direct lyrics. Most notably, Joe has said that they will never play Ultra Mono's "Model Village" live again, since he is not in the mindset he was when he wrote the lyrics.
- No-Hit Wonder: None of their singles have ever entered the British Top 40, not that this stopped Joy As An Act of Resistance peaking at number 5 on the Albums Chart.
- The Pete Best: Andy Stewart was IDLES' original rhythm guitarist and played on their debut EP, but only the most hardcore of fans will know that he was Lee's predecessor.
