• Writer Revolt: Around the time this episode was made, Nickelodeon pushed the "Big Green Help" campaign and mandated that the writers make an episode with a Green Aesop. So in response, the writers made an episode with a Spoof Aesop where the main characters' attempts at going green all fail (except for Sam, whose low-effort, improvised-at-the-last-moment project ends up passing).
