Trivia / Hotel (1983)

Go To

  • Name's the Same: One 1987 episode featured a character named "Bernie Sanders."
  • Romance on the Set: The on-screen relationship of Heidi Bohay and Michael Spound became an off-screen relationship as well. They got married in real life and are still married over 30 years later.
  • What Could Have Been: Bette Davis was originally cast as hotel owner Laura Trent in the pilot in hopes she would be a regular. However, Davis' declining health and advanced age (75 at that point) led to former All About Eve co-star Anne Baxter being cast as her sister-in-law Victoria Cabot as a Suspiciously Similar Substitute.note  In a bit of irony, Davis not only outlived Baxter (who died eight days after suffering a stroke in December 1985) but upon her death in October 1989 had outlasted the series itself by nearly a year and a half.
