• Christmas Rushed: Aevee tweeted the day before it came out that the dev team was rushing to release before mercury went into retrograde.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Pluto was originally going to be a minor character with a background role in the story "similar to Neith's," but as she was fleshed out the developers realized Pluto and her chemistry with the other characters was far too interesting to not explore more, which led to her becoming one of the main trio. There's actually a moment in the game that may be a nod to this - Pluto tells the story of witnessing what Neith did and confesses that if they hadn't been quicker to jump, she would have done the same exact thing.
  • Related to the above anecdote, the team confirmed that before Pluto 's role was changed, Mars would have actually been the third main character.
  • In many incidental comments on twitter, the writers have described attributes to many of the peripheral characters that go unseen in the final game, as at one point the story was intended to be more of an ensemble piece, but it was refocused to be about the primary characters, with the secondary characters mostly serving as momentary foils with little personality.
• Word of God:
  • Halimede's older sister technically isn't named in the game, but some fans had used context clues and naming conventions to determine her name to be Triton, which the Worst Girls Games twitter account confirmed to be correct.
  • Iapetus' face was obscured to prevent him from becoming an example of Draco in Leather Pants.
  • Halimede was named in part for her tears, as the mythological source of the name Halimede refers to one of the Nereids, also known as the "lady of the brine".
