• Word of God: With regards to original series character Meyrin Hawke, the writer has stated that she is stationed in the PLANT homeland rather than assigned to the Minerva like in the series. As a result, beyond an extremely brief non-speaking cameo in the background during the final scene of the first chapter, she does not appear at all. Abigail Windsor, who replaced Meyrin following the latter's desertion in the series, is instead onboard the Minerva from the beginning.
  • This is not the case for Talia Gladys, as the author has confirmed that Talia does not exist at all in GSDA’s continuity. Their reasoning was due to how Talia felt too similar to the original SEED's Murrue, hence wanting to place Yzak Joule in command of the Minerva in her stead.
