- The production illustrations from the official artbook suggest that Abbie was originally long-haired in the first arc, before cutting her hair partway through the "Singapore Sky" arc into the bob cut she has in the "Snow of London" arc. The manga adaptation still uses her long-haired design.
- The same illustrations depict James Coleman as originally being much more traditionally handsome instead of the bulbous toad he ended up as.
