Trivia / Ginny Weasley: Double Life

• What Could Have Been: The originally contemplated plan for this fic would have been a crossover with The Jungle Book (1967), with Kaa replacing Milikan and genuinely meeting Ginny as a child, but as this would have involved Kaa basically kidnapping her, the author abandoned this idea as he was too much of a fan of Harry and Ginny as a couple to separate them (coupled with the fact that he's not a particular fan of Kaa as a character). Tales From The Hypnoverse has explored some variations of this idea, but in general any use of Kaa makes him more benevolent and less interested in eating those he hypnotises.
