- Approval of God: CinemaSins has actually come to GCN's defense against the haters at times, saying that they like what GCN's doing and encouraging them.
- Follow the Leader:
- Sometimes criticizes games for having certain platformer segments that GCN feels were ripped off from Uncharted. Ironically enough, they also note that Uncharted's entire premise is this trope to Indiana Jones.
- On a meta level, the entire channel is basically CinemaSins, but with video games instead of movies. Not only do they outright admit that they are ripping off CinemaSins, but they always post a link to said channel in every video in order to promote them since they are the ones who inspired GCN to begin with. Despite that and CinemaSins themselves approving of GCN, a lot of people still believe that GCN are lazy hacks copying off CinemaSins.
