  • Actor Allusion:
    • Most of the film's major characters are named after Cem Yilmaz's relatives, most notably Arif (his father) and Ceku (his maternal grandmother) according to IMDb.
    • Arif's birthdate as mentioned after his abduction (December 8, 1968) is the birthdate of Yilmaz's own elder brother.
    • One of the cassette tapes listed by Master Garavel before Arif's Neural Implanting procedure is a best-of album of Mazhar-Fuat-Özkan, of which the actor playing him is a member.
  • Development Hell: While shooting reportedly began in 2002, the film ended up being released in November 12, 2004 due to its producers' financial woes. The film was initially produced by the Uzan Group, whose assets ended up being confiscated by the authorities for bank fraud. This ended up significantly slowing down its production until another studio bought its rights, making it both the most expensive and longest-produced Turkish film at the time of its release.
