Trivia / Freeman's Mind Spinoffs

• Approval of God: Ross gave Ian his blessing to create Barney's Mind. He also extended this towards the other Masterminds and on occasion in Freeman's Mind itself references the spinoffs.
• Bury Your Art: Curtis and Jared have delisted Felix's Mind and Freeman's (-ish) Mind 2 respectively. Cyh also delisted Chell's Mind but kept a playlist available.
• Creator Backlash: Curtis, creator of Felix's Mind, rebooted and cancelled the show out of hatred for its one-joke premise (the protagonist is Gordon Freeman's identical twin brother who spent the first episode repeatedly reiterating that he wasn't Gordon). And as of 2014, Curtis has since locked each episode so that no one can watch them. In a Freeman's Mind Spin-offs Retrospective by vinnysuperg123, where Ian Riley offers the explanation that he took them down in fear that the show would taint his professional image, Curtis released a statement in the comments rebutting that explanation, and that while he is ashamed of the show, he wouldn't go back and undo anything because of the friends he made in the community.
  "Ian's wrong, I'm greatly ashamed of what I made. Felix's Mind was the My Immortal of Mind Series', unoriginal, unfunny, pretentious and overedited. He's on the right track, though. If some police service I've applied for is doing a background check on me, I'm accountable for pretty much whatever comes up if a Google search is done on me, and since remnants of Felix's Mind are still littered in pieces and mentions over the internet, I have the awkward job of explaining that it was this thing I did when I was a teenager. On that note, I've long since accepted the fact that whatever gets posted on the internet is essentially up there forever, so I'm aware that someone has downloaded my videos and reuploaded them for posterity. I haven't and would not go running to Youtube to have them removed or anything like that, but I do appreciate the discretion that you and the uploader of that playlist have taken in respect to my wishes.
  
  This is a pretty great retrospective, though, and as ashamed as I am for my personal products of the time, I wouldn't go back in time and undo all that. The friends I've made during that little period of minuscule Youtube "fame" more than outweighs the cringe of making a shitty Half-Life fanfic off a stolen idea."
