- Keep Circulating the Tapes: This is only applying in Japan, though. There was a live-action adaptation of the series that was aired in 2002, but little is known about it since it only received a DVD release not so much after it ended — it hasn't been re-released ever since.
- Missing Episode: While not exactly "missing episodes", the animation footages from the episode previews of episode 25, 27, and 28 were destroyed in the meantime before the DVD era happened. However, their audio tracks survived and were rescued from archive. The audio footage was later included with the rest of the episode previews on newer home releases of the animenote .
- Name's the Same: Mami Sakura shares her name with Creamy Mami and Mami Tomoe.
- No Export for You: The series as a whole shares a similar fate of obscurity as other works from Fujiko F. Fujio (Doraemon being the most noticeable exception) as it hasn't been fully exported overseas — some parts of Europe (Spain included) aired the anime during the earlier 90s (although with some censorship in regards to Mami's nude model part-time job at home), while the manga has been only released in a few Asian countries.
