- Dawson Casting: The main characters are all 12-15 years old, which is too young to apply for a job at Disney World. Instead, they were (usually) played by young-looking adult actors, with the exception of one of Doug's actors, who was probably in his late 40s.
- The Other Darrin: The cast went through many changes throughout the show.
- Throw It In!: During one of the first rehearsals, during the song "Anybody Else at All", Doug wants to ask Patti to the Beets concert with him, and is very nervous. So he pushes Skeeter into the men's room to give him lines to say to Patti, with Skeeter going all, "Wait Doug, hey, what are you doing?, etc.", and then his actor ad-libbed "I crack under pressure!". The Disney staff loved it so much that it became part of the final show.
