Trivia / CrafD&D

  • The Cast Show Off:
    • The vast majority of the art and assets made for CrafD&D are done by Crafty, who is not only a D&D player but also a seasoned artist. He also mentions now and again that his experience in game design—complete with a college degree to prove it—helped him set up the campaign in just about every respect.
    • In "The Ranger Challenge Pt. 1," Osra and Ash are both introduced using art made by their players, Hitenmitsuru and BlazeTheWeirdo, respectively, with both being experienced artists in their own rights.
  • Production Posse: Just as he had done for Dr. Crafty and its spin-off segments, Tansley called upon Blue-Paint-Sea, a frequent collaborator of his, to create the logo for CrafD&D.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: Crafty's growing disdain for playing the Bloodhunter class led to its in-universe abolishment in "The Fresh Prince of Hell Heir." It was also the reason Kayden agreed to have Calum retire from the class himself in "End of the Bloodline..." The ruling shall stick any time he and his players return to Grandure.
  • Troubled Production: The earliest episodes of The Champion's Challenge experienced some recording issues during production, leading to large portions of the campaign being lost to time. To make up for the losses, Crafty created some disclaimers in post-production for each of the affected episodes, and he also drew some additional comics to substitute for the lost footage. "The Barbarian Champion: Atlissa" was the most troublesome of the lot; its entire audio was lost to a glitch in Crafty's recording software. Crafty was forced to make a recap comic summing up the session's events, and the final product became staggeringly shorter than the rest. Meanwhile, "The Red Trophy" was released to the public at the same time as its predecessor, just so the fans weren't left without a full session after waiting patiently for it.
