• Creator Couple: Wolfie's girlfriend Shirley was played by Robert Lindsay's then-wife Cheryl Hall.
• The Other Darrin: Wolfie's girlfriend's father was played by three different actors throughout the series; Artro Morris in the pilot, Peter Vaughan in the first two series and Tony Steedman in the third and fourth series.
• What Could Have Been: When John Sullivan told Robert Lindsay and Mike Grady about his father's famous chandelier story, Lindsay and Grady begged him to write in into the series, only for Sullivan to tell them he was saving it. It would later be used in the much-loved scene at the end of the Only Fools and Horses episode, "A Touch of Glass".
