• Creator Backlash: Elvis signed onto the project having read the script as originally written (a spaghetti western-style picture with much more violence overall and even some planned full female nudity in the opening scene), and felt eager to perform in something far outside his usual fare. By the time shooting began, Presley was disappointed at how sanitized it'd become, likely due to his involvement.
• Creator's Oddball: As mentioned on the main page, this is the only Elvis Presley movie in which he doesn't sing onscreen at all. Even his previous Western Flaming Star had musical sequences. Also his lone screen appearance with facial hair.
