• Box Office Bomb: The original incarnation, Jeeves, closed after 38 performances. By Jeeves had a promising start in smaller theatres on both sides of the Atlantic, but its Broadway run, though well regarded, lasted a mere 73 performances. This can largely be credited to having the misfortune of opening less than a month after 9/11.
• Fake Nationality: The characters are as English as Wodehouse made them, but with the notable exception of Martin Jarvis as Jeeves, most of the actors in the 2011 movie are American or Canadian. The majority of them do a pretty decent job faking an RP English accent... except, unfortunately, for John Scherer as Bertie, whose true nationality is easily heard.
