- Creator Breakdown: Fosse suffered at least two bouts of suicidal behavior, first in 1973 after his string of awards ratcheted up his insecurities, and a second time after the New York premiere of Dancin.
- What Could Have Been: Michael Jackson offered him the chance to direct the videos for both "Thriller" and a song called "Capone". Fosse reportedly liked the rhythm and melody of the latter, but requested changes to the lyrics. "Capone" eventually became "Smooth Criminal", but by that point Fosse had moved on to other projects.
- Toward the end of his life, he expressed interest in directing a biography of Walter Winchell.
