• Executive Meddling: As it was with Floyd Lawton, Amanda Waller's death was apparently the result of DC and Warner Bros wanting to not have her in multiple live-action properties.
• Out of Order: Despite it airing the previous week, the series premiere of Legends of Tomorrow chronologically takes place after this episode. This is evidenced with Laurel not being as farfetched about the idea of Time Travel there as she is in this episode, and Felicity being at peace with her handicapped condition during a flashback scene that supposed to have happened in the same episode.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: Darhk's absence was due to him guest starring in the "Legends of Tomorrow" episode that aired the same week as this one.
