  • Shrug of God: When a fan asked him on his forums why "Pop Life" had "what sounded like a boxing match" spliced into the song, and noting they were wondering why for years, he answered, "Good ? - Me 2 :)"note

Miscellaneous Trivia

  • The album was one of the last Warner Music Group CDs released with the label group's original "target" design, marked by a distinctive crosshair pattern, which was discontinued after 1985. While other target CDs from this year (such as Boys and Girls by Bryan Ferry and Little Creatures by Talking Heads) weren't too different from previous target discs, Around the World in a Day was a major outlier, featuring bright teal ink on a transparent background, even on discs made by PolyGram in West Germany (who otherwise used full-color, full-face labels). Almost all of these target CDs were released with the album's initial longbox-sized cardboard sleeve, though one release in Europe used a standard jewel case.
