  • Acclaimed Flop: All My Friends Are Invisible has only a 3.23 rating on Goodreads and was heavily panned by critics, including conservative YouTube figures such as Blaire White, who considered the book exploitative and Jonathan Joly to be an attention-seeking parent (to paraphrase more politely)[1]. Despite this, the book is still very popular and beloved within both LGBTQ+ circles and fans of the SACCONEJOLYs YouTube channel.
  • Creator Breakdown: Jonathan Joly was struggling with a media backlash during the writing and publication of his book, and one month after its publication, he deleted his famous YouTube channel of 12 years, stating that the internet was "no longer as safe as it used to be". While the channel is gone, the book remains in widescale publication, avoiding "Bury Your Art" at least partially. Jonathan Joly and his family simply preferred a more private life[2].
