- Milestone Celebration: The release of Romulus overlaps with the 45th Anniversary of the original film (and by extension the franchise).
- Promoted Fanboy: Fede Álvarez has shown on social media that he holds a reverence to the entire franchise, even showcasing a collection of art books and the Dark Horse-era of the Alien comics as an inspiration for him creating the film.
- Working Title: An interesting zigzagged case, as "Romulus" actually was originally the working title for the then untitled Alien film being worked on by Fede Álvarez, but as word got around that it was tied to the Alien franchise, most people started to address it simply as Alien: Romulus during it's production while it was still officially unnamed. Eventually, and presumably due to how tied the title was to the word-of-mouth marketing at that point, it was simply easier to keep the title of "Alien: Romulus" than change it.
