Bye bye, Blackie.
  • Episode 102, in its entirety. The Moving Experience is Averted for Blackie.
  • Do not, do not, do not watch episode 103 if you've recently moved away. Chi's friend Blackie moves away, and she gets over it fast, in the next episode; she declares "I can't see him, but he's there!" after going through the Five Stages of Grief. Chi's first tears over this are pictured to the right, after finally realizing that there will be no more "see you later", thanks to a simple open-mouthed smile from Blackie.
  • Chi's determination to go back home after being separated from her mother can cause some tears. She's also come very close to reuniting with her mother a couple of times but never quite makes it. She does, however, in the final chapters.
    • There are also hints that Chi's mother and, therefore, her kittens have an owner that might like to know what happened to her lost kitten. It can be very disheartening to see for someone who has lost a pet.
  • Episode 13 of the CGI series shows Come-Come's backstory. He and his brother were kittens living in a box and two children found them one day. They wanted to take the kittens home but didn't want to get in trouble for having two. After looking at both, they decide to leave Come-Come in the box since his brother is cuter. They walk away, leaving him in a box as it starts to rain. Come-Come spends the entire first season waiting for his brother to return.
  • In Season 2 of the CGI series, Come-Come sets out to find his brother, only to discover his brother is living happily with a human family. Come-Come wishes his brother well and runs off crying as he realises that all his friends have family, but he doesn't. He lashes out at Blackie and runs into a train to leave town.
    • Come-Come later meets another cat named Diplo who travels. His owners were moving and he jumped out of the car and returned to their old home to wait for them but they never came back. He travels around to find his family again.
    • Come-Come breaks down, saying Diplo doesn't understand what it's like to not have any family or a home, and runs away. He tumbles down a hill and Diplo saves him from rolling into a pond. Diplo hits his head on a rock and and falls into the pond unconscious. He almost drowns but Come-Come dives in and struggles to pull him out. They both end up safe in the end but it's an intense scene.
