Tear Jerker / The Journey of Natty Gann

• On her way home from school, Natty watches a classmate and his family being evicted and tossed into the street.
• Natty is pretty forlorn as she says goodbye to the puppy she'd just adopted after going to look for her father.
• Natty's escape from the oppressive reform school has a slightly bittersweet aspect to it, given how her friend Twinky (who helps her get away) stays behind and mentions that she has over three years left of her sentence there.
• Natty and Wolf's goodbye; mostly because the sentimental music in the background and Wolf's expression when it gives a last look to Natty.
• When Natty's dad thinks she died in a train wreck, and then purposefully starts seeking out the deadliest jobs.
• The very end, when Natty approaches the logging site and hears a stick of dynamite go off, followed by a truck filled with injured men and someone who looks like her father. She chases down the truck, but it quickly outpaces her. She then breaks down crying. Fortunately her dad survived, and soon comes down the hill to meet her, having heard her cries and gotten off the truck. His injuries aren't all that severe, thankfully.
