    √A
  • The normal ending, with Watase's gradual descent into madness:
  • Trusting Kazami and Jun, and thinking both returned that trust only to find out that both had doubts in him both before and after Watase lost his memories. Even worse, Watase isn't able to refute any of the accusations thrown at him since he doesn't remember anything before the lock-down, and though he denies any wrong-doing, he has his own doubts about the person he was before his amnesia.
  • Ena, the sole person that still believed in Watase goes to plead his case to an insane Jun and Ukita, and is murdered for her efforts. Watase later finds her body in a corridor, and the discovery causes Watase to lose all value for his own life to the point where he decides to go on a suicide mission into the centre of a what he believes to be a nuclear reactor.
  • While on said suicide mission, Watase finds Natsuhiko's body, and fails to revive him, furthering Watase's despair at failing to save yet another person he was supposed to protect. Soon afterwards, Salyu attacks Watase, and despite Watase's best attempts to subdue Salyu without harming her, he ends up accidentally killing her. Watase breaks down crying as he apologies over and over to the dead Salyu.
  • Attempting to kill a murderous Ukita upon realising that Ukita killed Ena, after Watase has spent hours risking his own life again and again to save everyone. Watase fails to land a single shot, much to his frustration, and is left angrily attempting to understand why he can't kill Ukita as he's already killed Salyu.
  • Finding a mortally wounded Kazami after coming across the bodies of Jun and Ukita. Kazami's last words are to tell Watase that she knows he's behind everything that's transpired, but rather than accusing, she only asks him for a reason, stating that she's never understood him. Watase finally snaps after Kazami succumbs to her injuries as he breaks out into uncontrollable laughter as he declares that he must have killed everyone, caused the lock-down, and rewritten his own memories, before brokenly pleading with the dead Kazami to call him Captain one last time.
  • Watase's ultimate fate; he survives, and is rescued from LABO, but is so broken by what happened that he falls into a neverending nightmare recapping the nine hours that he was trapped in LABO which Watase himself has no desire to escape from.

    √B

  • Natsuhiko realizing that the Yuuri he's been living with for the past nine years is nothing more than a phantom that exists in his own mind.
  • Afterwards, when he angrily confronted Mashiro for not telling the truth about Yuuri's death and instead opted to use empathy to keep up the act of Yuuri still alive (despite the fact that Natsuhiko made it clear that he dislikes having his mind read), he accidentally triggered Senses Sympathy on Mashiro and learned nine years worth of her memories since Yuuri's death through her eyes. This prompt him to realize soon afterwards how much Mashiro has sacrificed to support him, and how much his mother really loves him.

    √D

  • Despite Nagisa's repeated assertion that she is nothing but malice incarnate, there are still some traces of humanity in her; several times she tries to goad Natsuhiko into wiping her, knowing that her host will remain corrupted as long as she is present. During one such conversation between Natsuhiko and Nagisa, the latter gives a sincere request for Natushiko to simply remember that she once existed.
  • Kazami altering Jun's and Watase's memories in the Protected by the Bird-of-Paradise ending. Kazami's own surrogate sister and former lover will at most, probably only feel a fleeting sadness at her death. This is made worse at the very end where she indeed died as a result of her Heroic Sacrifice to protect Natsuhiko and Yuuri from the debris and explosion, because she is the only one of the main characters to die at the end and Natsuhiko's own reaction upon hearing her death. At least she gets to be together with her late sister...
  • Natsuhiko being forced to make the choice to wipe Watase's memories again to save Yuuri in Good End Before. Natsuhiko is deeply reluctant to do it, and worries that his use of BC is turning him into a monster. As Natsuhiko's mind joins Watase's, Watase smiles at Natsuhiko, knowing that his memories are about to erased yet again, and assures Natsuhiko that he (Natsuhiko) isn't a monster.
