Our Place
- While this is one of the more lighthearted scenes, it has one sad moment. After Anne realizes Jake stole from her dead great grandmas blanket, she realizes he didnt come to Mimmys wake just to support her.
Flick of the Wrist
- The premise alone is this: a daughter trying to reconnect with her father after hes been suffering from an Alzheimer-Esque disease for years.
- Beth slowly snapping, begging him to remember her and not give up.
- To make it worse, it's revealed in the epilogue Jonathan died after the scene.
Tuna Fish
- Corey slowly realizes that Liberty wants to break up.
- Liberty mentions how her father wasnt very accepting of her plan of getting a degree in philosophy.
- One production ended the scene with Corey showing Liberty a ring box, revealing he was planning on proposing on the date before their breakup.
Im staying with you
- Sidneys conversation with Stanley is full of these, even if most of the scene is Played for Laughs
- Stanelys reaction when Sidney asks him why hes always such a jerk.
Stanley: I DON'T KNOW!
- Stanleys last words to Sidney are how he never wants to see her again and that she makes him sick.
- Even with all the foreshadowing, Sidneys death is a big one. She falls into the lake while Stanley is blaring music through his headphones so he doesnt hear her. The last image of the scene is Stanley cradling Sidneys lifeless body, sobbing and screaming for help that never comes.
- A bit of Fridge Horror: Throughout the scene, it's stated Stanley has mental health issues. It's likely this sent him over the edge and he doesn't live long after the show.
Epilogue
- The epilogue is with the entire ensemble doing a joint monologue, minus Sidney and Jonathan. They all appear to mourn something.
- The last lines of the show
All: And sometimes, our place
Beth and Stanley: Is where we learn to say goodbye.
- The ending mixed with Heart Warming: Sidneys ghost appears and hugs Stanley. He feels her spirit, but he cant see her. He leaves the dock in tears. Sidney tries to fish but fails. The ghost of Jonathan(Beths dad) appears young and healthy. He gives her the same advice he gave young Beth non-verbally.
