Season 1
Episode 1
- The whole encounter with the mysterious woman. Camille reaches out, only to be forced to relive some clearly traumatic memories.
- Avaline's pure hatred for the other witch families' ways of life, just because they try to forge relations with those outside their isolated communities. Chloe even says that she sounds like her mother.
Episode 2
- Athalie doesn't seem to be a very loving parent, especially to Camille. She literally tells Camille that if she messes up the summoning ritual, she'll be kicked out. What kind of pressure has Camille been under for most of her life?!
- Apparently, Athalie kept Toben away from Camille for most of her life, for training purposes. Toben is Camille's familiar, and literally bound to her by magic. Poor Toben...
- Camille admitting that she has no other option but to successfully complete the wishing ritual. That can't be healthy.
Episode 4
- After her wishing ritual goes wrong, Camille starts bawling her eyes out, and wonders what Athalie would do to her if she knew what happened.
- Doubling with Nightmare Fuel: Camille cuts herself a second time to get more blood to cover up the sigil she drew. She then purposefully draws it wrong the second time and justifies it by saying that its better that she failed, than her family discovering what had happened.
- After Athalie tells her that she is stupid, Camille runs away with the leaf, which is the sole piece connecting her to the ritual going wrong. Camille also seems to be suffering from extreme blood loss. Camille is literally willing to die so that her family doesn't figure out that she might be different.
Episode 5
- Camille runs into the swamp while admonishing herself for not being able to do anything right.
- Camille doesn't really have a home; she's abused and miserable wherever with all the cards she's presented. Hell, the mysterious Eloi tells her that her options for what could be considered her home are: with Athalie and Avaline, who is brainwashed into spewing Athalie's regressive, hateful nonsense; with the second rate Severins in the swamp where her family died; or dead with her mother and sister.
- The reveal that Camille's physical body is passed out from blood loss in the swamp.
Episode 6
- Camille apparently has burn scars all over her back; probably from the fire that her family died in.
- Avaline and Camille are separated; with Avaline going back to New Orleans and Camille staying in the swamp. Avaline and Camille are basically sisters, and its sad to see one of them go, especially alone with Athalie.
- Athalie has been directing her anger towards Camille and Avaline ever since they were little kids, to the point where Camille wonders if she only hates her, and if she will hurt Avaline more in Camille's absence.
