- Learning about any of the Dazzlings' children risks this territory. Either due to most of them being long dead due to the passing of time or the many ways others have died.
- Special mention goes to any of Sonata's first three girls. One was ignored until she ran away, the second was treated as a slave and heavily abused by Sonata, and the third became the most infamous serial killer in all of England.
- Second Lamb. The younger of Adagio's two daughters from the early 1200s. Her elder sister, Holy Word, burned her at the stake in the name of God for refusing to leave Adagio's side. All the while, Adagio can only watch in horror from the crowd.
- You get acquainted with Sonata's terrible treatment of kids long before it, but seeing how Throw Away is treated is enough to rattle some.
