The Guilty Ones RP is a Twitter
and Tumblr based rp group set around the characters from the musical Spring Awakening. Putting these characters in modern-day Germany, the group members post to twitter as though they were their actual characters, while rping face-to-face interactions through tumblr threads. The subject matter ranges from the serious themes found in the original show's canon to memes.
The group was founded in November of 2014. Although it eventually closed, it was revamped in June of 2015 with many of the same members. The first incarnation of the group (which featured slightly different characterization in some cases) is sometimes referred to as "round 1," with the current group being "round 2" or "The Guilty Ones 2.0."

Alternate Character Interpretation: The characters are brought up to speed for the modern era. Has shades of Adaptation Expansion as well. - Alternate Universe: This group takes place in modern times, while the canon characters all lived in the late 18th century.
- City with No Name: Although it's stated that the characters live in a small town in Germany (and that they sometimes go to the nearby city), neither the town or the city are ever given a proper name.
- Short-Distance Tweeting: Often, two characters tweet at each other while in the same room with no explanation, for the sake of roleplay.
- Small Town Boredom: Often the cause of chaos (ex: stealing Bobby Maler's horse).
- True Companions: Although some of the characters might not get along, they're this at the end of the day.
- Refuge in Audacity: Sort of. The characters can have an odd sense of humor, so that a lot of the time strangeness (such as Ernst impersonating Ilse on her twitter account, or Wendla changing her icon to He-Man) is simply taken as a matter of course.
