- In the Empowered miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, the first issue briefly features a weather themed superheroine named "Konya wa Hurricane" who looks suspiciously similar to Priss. Maybe not so suspiciously, since Adam Warren (Empowered's creator) wrote and drew the Grand Mal miniseries.
- Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: Episode 6 has Future Scott and the Katayanagi twins performing a cover of "Konya wa Hurricane".
