Hokuto, Masumi, and Yaiba face off against Shun at last, engaging him in a three-on-one duel. Though they manage to wipe out Shun's field and bring their ace monsters into play on their first turns, even their skills are no match for Shun. He summons "Raidraptor - Rise Falcon" and uses its effect to absorb ATK from all enemy monsters, giving it over 16,000 ATK and letting it attack all of them for a triple One-Hit KO. Shun leaves the scene, but is confronted by Reiji with a group of LDS agents.
During the duel, Yuzu meets Yuto again, who explains Ruri is Shun's little sister that they're trying to rescue from an enemy that uses Fusion Summon. Yuzu and Ruri look very much alike, which is why Shun confused the two in their last encounter. Yuto also tells Yuzu his name at last.

- Curb-Stomp Battle: Kurosaki floors all three of the trio with his ace RR-Rise Falcon.
- Recruit Teenagers with Attitude: Justified, as the teenagers are only acting as bait because they're witnesses who would be able to recognize the culprit, their superiors track them the entire time to ensure their safety, and Yaiba's dialogue indicates that a more powerful team to capture Kurosaki was deployed the moment he revealed himself.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Kurosaki gives one to the trio. It'd probably be more effective if they were who he thought they were.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: Yuto and Kurosaki are willing to do anything to save Ruri, Kurosaki's sister and make the world a better place.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Yuzu calls Yuto on his desire to protect her, but allowing Masumi to be hurt.
- When He Smiles: Yuto's smile reminds Yuzu of Yuya.
