Recap / Yu Gi Oh Arc V Ep 38 Warped
aka: Yu Gi Oh Arc V Ep 38 The Four Dimensions

Go To

Yuya wakes up two days after the events of the last episode and watches the last duel of round one, Yaiba Todo (Kit Blade) vs Isao Kachidoki (Iggy Arlo). Yuya learns he's fighting Kachidoki in the next match. Kachidoki has a dirty strategy of attacking opponents to keep them from getting Action Cards, and he wins after a brutal assault on Yaiba.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Breather Episode: Yeah, after the chaos of the preceding five episodes, this one takes things down a notch to let viewers rest. Mieru provides plenty of humor and there's no duel shown in full.
  • The Bully: Kachidoki.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Kachidoki: phisically beating down his opponent not only ensures he won't get the action cards, but adds a fear factor and make it harder for them to duel due to the pain he dishes out. Interestingly, however, since other duelists have been shown using their monsters to stop their opponents from getting the cards, it could be argued that doing it personally is actually the less pragmatic approach (since the opponent could it you back), and more straight bullying your opponent.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Averted by Yuya and Yuzu, who share everything they know about the current situation. To be fair, neither one knew that the other had much to do with the strange going-ons until a few days ago, and since then they've been pretty busy.
