When a masked assailant threatens her family, Velma vows to get to the bottom of Project SCOOBI and bring down the killer.
Tropes
- Bittersweet Ending: Scrappy is dead, ending his rampaging terror, but so is Velma, and Dr. Perdue informs her spirit that she's been Killed Off for Real, with her friends and family mourning her loss. However, Amber promises to find a way to resurrect her, but notes that it has to be on Halloween.
- Deus ex Machina: Velma comes back as a ghost immediately after dying and uses the knowledge that a body can't hold more than one soul to destroy Scrappy, even though she wasn't present when Victoria attempted to possess Amber and thus shouldn't know that.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Daphne accidentally causes Velma's death by switching chocolate with baby carrots, something Velma was going to use against Scrappy when he turns his attention to her.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: By killing Velma, Scrappy gave her the means to kill him via possession.
- Senseless Sacrifice: Even if Velma had fed Scrappy chocolate like she planned, it wouldn't have killed him, because he was made to be invincible. Subverted, as her death leads to his anyway.
