Italian Airdate: December 11, 2017. American Airdate: October 12, 2019

The children of Truilland compete in the king's annual tomato growing competition. Sun is unable to effectively grow her tomato and so resorts to cheating by using her magical powers to create a potion to grow large tomatoes. Copperpot uses this potion to grow giant tomatoes and try to steal the magic cookbook by causing chaos in Trulliland. He is defeated primarily by Sun with the help of the other children. They use the tomatoes to complete Trulli Grandma's recipe for a humble pie. Leonard wins the completion for his "super regular" tomato whilst Ring, Zip, Stella, and Sun win a special prize for creating the humble pie.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Sun cheating in the competition inadvertently aids Copperpot's plans. The ending is an example of a Subverted Trope as although Sun does not win the competition, she wins a special prize along with Ring, Zip, Stella, and Sun.
  • Competition Freak: Sun really wants to win the tomato growing competition.
  • Cultural Translation: The original Italian title was "La focaccia dell’umiltà" which translates as "The focaccia of humility" with focaccia being a type of Italian flat bread. In English, the title seemingly refers to a type of pizza called an Italian tomato pie mainly found in the Northeastern United States and Central Canada. In German, the title is "Eine einfache Pizza" which translates as "A simple pizza".
  • Giant Food: Copperpot uses Sun's potion to grow giant tomatoes.
  • Pun-Based Title: To eat humble pie is an English-language idiom and at the end of the episode they create a humble pie.
