In The '90s, every TV show had to have a Feud Episode.

Bill and Ben are sent to work with BoCo in the yard, and as a reward for their hard work, they are allowed to use the turntable for the first time. While Bill enjoy his fun, the foreman stops the turntable and informs him to make way for the other engines. Unfortunately, the foreman inadvertedly set the turntable in the wrong place and Bill is sent onto the same line as Ben, and the twins end up buffer to buffer. The twins bicker with each other until the Fat Controller breaks up the argument, sternly warning the two that they won't be allowed in the yard again should they continue to misbehave.

The next day, Bill and Ben remain so cross with each other that they refuse to speak to one another. Ben rants to BoCo how Bill got in the way, but BoCo assumed that both of the twins were to blame for the turntable incident. The twins continue to give each other the silent treatment until Edward and BoCo decide to ask the Fat Controller to intervene.

The Fat Controller made arrangements for Bill and Ben to pull BoCo's heavy goods train together. Ben claims that he will to pull it by himself, but when he discovers the train is too heavy for him, the twins find themselves laughing, realizing that they will have to work together to pull the train, and thus, the twins finally reconcile.

Tropes featured in the episode:

  • Bratty Half Pints: Bill and Ben, who cause trouble in the yard when they refuse to work together. In the words of BoCo, "Here comes trouble."
  • Compressed Adaptation: The episode merges two magazine stories "Head On" and "Pulling Together".
  • Digital Destruction: In the restored version, the shot of Ben pulling up alongside BoCo is extended too long, to the point where Ben doesn't even have time to arrive in the shot!
  • Feud Episode: For Bill and Ben, who fall out and refuse to work together after an incident on the turntable.
