Continuing on from the previous episode, Kevin believes that Winnie breaking up with him for somebody else is just a misunderstanding. He decides to throw a party, thinking Winnie will go back to him as a result. After Paul tells Kevin that his plan is obvious, Kevin asks to have the party at Paul's house. Winnie accepts Paul's invitation, but when Kevin learns that Paul agreed to let Winnie's new boyfriend Roger come, Kevin decides not to go. After talking with Madeline, he decides to take her to the party as his date to make Winnie jealous. After they have a chat, Kevin angrily tells her that their relationship meant nothing to him (which the narrator says was the biggest lie he ever told), and when Madeline makes an insulting remark about her, Kevin leaves her.
Eventually, Kevin gets over it and decides to remain friends with Winnie.
