Cody is tired of being mistaken for Zack, and for that never to happen again, he tries a gangster look, then a red-head look. Meanwhile, London is spreading rumors about Lance and Maddie being engaged. This causes Maddie to accidentally start a rumor that London tortures animals.

- Answer Cut: When Maddie learns about the rumor about her and Lance after Chuck cancels their date, she demands that Zack tell her when he heard said rumor from. He answers Cody, then the scene to Cody telling her he heard from Muriel, then the scene again to Muriel telling Maddie she heard it from Esteban, and finally the scene shifts to the latter telling Maddie he heard the rumor from London, who was the one who started the rumor.
- For the Evulz: Despite Maddie telling her the truth, London decides to not clear up the rumor about her and not listen to her because she finds it amusing and fun to spread it around.
- Gossip Evolution: When London first started a rumor about Maddie, it was at first just that she and Lance got back when she thought she saw them kissing when he was really teaching her how to give CPR, but then it quickly evolved that they engaged and moving Las Vegas to become Blackjack dealers.
- Laser-Guided Karma: For starting a rumor about Maddie getting together with Lance, which causes Chuck the waiter to cancel her date with him, and damages Maddie's good name around the hotel, London has her reputation damaged by Maddie, albeit accidentally, where she starts a rumor that London tortures animals.
- Poor Communication Kills: London mispronouncing "Faux" as "Fox", causes Maddie to accidentally ruin her reputation, when she unknowingly tells a reporter about London's fur coats, not knowing they were fake, mistaking them for real ones.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Moseby is understandably furious an employee spread a false rumor of his surrogate daughter London, when he finds out why Maddie did it he lets her keep her job and concedes both parties were at fault.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Zack almost gets Chuck fired when he accidentally starts a rumor saying he was the one started the rumor that London tortures animals and told a reporter.
