The Smurfs are sent to find snowflower pollen to cure Papa Smurf's sore foot. But then, an abominable snowbeast captures Smurfette and crowns her queen. Meanwhile, Papa Smurf sees a signal from the other Smurfs and gathers another team of Smurfs to help rescue Smurfette. Papa Smurf spots the snowflower pollen the others have search and his foot is cured. Later, the Smurfs start to attack against the snowbeast. Smurfette speaks in her defense, knowing that the giant is lonely and gentle. Papa Smurf spreads snowflower pollen on the snowbeast's big toe and he is cured. Back in the village, they celebrate their return and all's right with the world.
This episode provides examples of:
- Eye Pop: Brainy, when he hears from Papa Smurf that the snowflower pollen grows at the top of Ice Mountain.
- Elongating Arm Gag: Hefty Smurf (off-screen) does it to pull the cowardly Brainy Smurf into their team.
- Hurt Foot Hop: Papa Smurf does it when his foot is crushed off-screen by the log.
- Never My Fault: Brainy pins the blame on Clumsy and tells him to get the snowflower pollen for Papa Smurf. However, it was only a trick in an attempt to play the "hero" role.
- Nobody Poops: Brainy tries to talk his way out of the team by saying he has to go to the bathroom. This never happened throughout the Smurfs cartoon show.
- Vocal Evolution: Harmony's voice is done by Michael Bell in this episode. Hamilton Camp would later take over the role for the series.
