After a dying robber posts a riddle online to where his loot is, the LAPD must race to find it before the treasure hunters cause more harm. Meanwhile, Bradford has to convince a detective named Jerry to retire.
- The Bet: Chen and Bradford have one over which group could find the gold first with their own methods: Chen works with Lopez and Nolan over solving the riddle, while Bradford revisits the original case with Jerry to work out where Stuart could've hidden his gold before he was arrested.
- Gold Fever: LA falls into chaos with people causing mayhem trying to recover the stolen gold. At one point a man kills a woman with an axe trying to get to a potential clue.
