Oscar tries to get the popular TV show character "Thingy" for the twins' birthday party. Penny misunderstands the situation and thinks her father Oscar is cheating on Trudy.

- Big Damn Heroes: Strangely enough, it's Thingy (Debra) who comes to Oscar's rescue when the babies mob him for not being Thingy.
- Expy: Thingy is an obvious parody of Barney The Dinosaur.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Since Penny's actions indirectly caused Oscar to get attacked and hurt by the infants, she had to do extra chores at the end of the episode.
- Mistaken for Cheating: Penny believed that Debra was having an affair with Oscar due to how they know each other. However when Debra reveals herself as Thingy to Trudy who was very happy to see her again, it's revealed that Debra and Trudy were collegemates who the former was the one to introduce Oscar to Trudy. Meaning if she didn't, Penny who caused the incident this episode would have never been born. Penny realizes her mistake after hearing that.
- Shout-Out: Dijonay compares Sticky’s grappling hook to that of Batman's.
