- Blatant Lies: Dorothy refuses to sell a hockey stick at the garage sale, saying it belonged to Chicago Blackhawks player Bobby Hull. Anyone with an even cursory knowledge of hockey history would know Hull was one of the first players to use a curved stick blade, and Dorothy’s stick blade is of course pin-straight.
- Inspirationally Disadvantaged: Deconstructed. Lily thinks she's this, but reality gets in her way. When Rose tries to get her a cane so she doesn't trip over the various things they have set out for a yard sale, Lily insists she's fine because she memorized the layout of the house: cue the girls dashing to move things out of her way. She later starts a fire while cooking on an unfamiliar stove and ends up having a breakdown. Reconstructed when she goes back to a school for the blind, gets a seeing-eye dog, and is even driving by herself.
- Very Special Episode: Rose has to deal with a blind relative in need of help.
