Natalie fabricates a story about a girl at school having an abortion to get good reviews for her paper, then finds herself in a corner when the headmaster demands she reveal the identity of said girl.
This episode contains examples of:
- Honor Before Reason: At the end, When Dean Parker says he won't expel Natalie for not telling him the girl's identity, and that he will find her on her own. Natalie fesses up that she fabricated the story so as to protect the girl who did have an abortion, Annie, even though she gets punished afterwards.
- Imaginary Friend: Natalie uses Louise, an imaginary friend of Tootie's as the subject for her article.
- Immoral Journalist: Natalie in this episode, as her only concern is making a story people will like, not telling the truth. She gets better.
- Real After All: Though Natalie had originally lied about a girl having an abortion, shortly after she's threatened with expulsion, Annie who did have an abortion, confronts her.
