Did Mrs. Garrett kill a customer and grind him up into bratwurst?!

This episode contains examples of:

  • Cool Old Guy: Mr. Bigley really Mr. Lesseroni

  • Demonic Possession: The girls think that Mrs. Garrett has been possessed by the spirit of a mass murderer named Grisly Gertie. Her odd behavior during the episode doesn't help.

  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: At first, Jo is the most skeptic of the girls regarding Mrs. Garrett being possessed. She even happily eats the "mystery meat" Mrs. Garrett miraculously comes upon. But then she lists several factors that came up during the episode, such as Mr. Bigley leaving the jacket he liked so much behind in the store, Mrs. Garrett's recent obsession with a butcher knife, and her slipper turning up in their bedroom around the same time Natalie says Mrs. Garrett was standing in the bedroom with that knife. She's convinced immediately.

  • Halloween Episode: Takes place on Halloween Night.

  • Halloween Trickery: The whole thing was a trick setup by Natalie for her film class. With help from Roy, she planted clues to trick everyone into thinking that Mrs. Garrett was possessed. The others are less than pleased to say the least.

  • I'm a Humanitarian: After hearing the legend of Grisly Gertie, the girls come to suspect that Mrs. Garrett murdered Mr. Bigley and turned him into her homemade bratwurst.

  • Out-of-Character Moment: Mrs. Garrett wonders into the girls room at 6:00 at night with a blank expression on her face and holding a knife in her hand, terrifying Tootie who had been sleeping in a chair out of fear from hearing the Grisly Gertie story. This combined with her oddball attitude during the rest of the episode greatly helps Natalie's trick

  • Suddenly Shouting: When the girls make up excuses to not help her with the bratwurst, Mrs. Garrett gets frustrated and shouts at them to get in the kitchen, at which point they surround her with makeshift weapons.
